Bestial Goals and Mouse Traps

Bestial Goals & Mouse Traps

Minor update to ensure there are differences in personality amongst animals.

Bestial Goal

If desired a creature may be assigned a individual specific (not species specific) Bestial Goal.

Possible Examples:

  • A local Crater Wolf wants to ensure Cubs survived after a volcanic explosion
  • Ursus Galacticus wants to eliminate a rival predictor in its lands.

Aiding the animal in this Goal will be necessary for a tame attempt and can even form the basis of a given adventure.

Mouse Traps

Some creatures are now marked with a Mouse emoji, indicating that they are skittish and must be caught by leaving a trap near their den. Upon being safely trapped the party can attempt to tame the creature. If the first tame attempt does not work, the party can see if the creature has calmed down from being taken the next day and try again.

After two failed tame attempts the creature must be released.

Creature Personality.

When making your own creatures, Creature personality can be differentiated by many factors in the rules.

Different creatures have different social styles for taming (Compassion vs Dominance), some creatures have the Elite trait that requires you to have a creature on your side already when taming, some creatures are skittish and must be trapped. And within the same species creatures can be assigned narrative Bestial Goals.
