Archetype Balance Changes
Changes to Aerospace Doctor and Priest of the Immutable
To ensure a strong difference in playstyle between these Archetypes and the “tamer” Archetype some of their Pet slots can only be used to tame creatures that produce Medical Elixir. This will ensure that the taming habits of these Archetypes lean into their medical role in the expedition. They still possess one Pet Slot that does not have this limitation
Changes to Roboticist and Smuggler
The Roboticist and Smuggler now have the ability to turn themselves into a nearly indestructable metallic armor . . . for a resource cost, a limit of three turns and at the disadvantage an incredibly low speed while the armor is up. The use case for this is should there be an incredibly risk roll the party wants to try, the Robotcist/Smuggler can move in and insulate themselves from the possible catastrophic damage that may occur. This gives them a “Tank” capability in the expedition. This power bump also accounts for the fact that Pets are more commonly found in the wild than ancient Bots. Thus as a “tamer” alone the Roboticst and Smuggler have less utility than the Beast Rider / Hallowed Hunter. Now, even without tamed Bots, these Archetypes can demonstrate a strong mastery of technology.
