Myriad Myths & Mysteries: A OPRPG Collection

Come Earthling.  Come close.  Here you will find stories that will take you to another world.

This collection of OPRPGs is my "ideas laboratory."  As such some of these are very early drafts.  Or even written brainstorms.

The most recent are:

Martian Muckraker 3.0 - Using the best ideas of Under a Hostile Sun and the Old School Revival movement, this OPRPG is an early brainstorm of how to implement the world of Martian Muckraker.  Three Memories and your specialty Newspaper Section are used to determine if you are skilled or unskilled at a task.  Your Homeworld determines how large your (Un)Skill die is.  Each failed skill roll requires a Detection Check (similar to an Opportunity Roll) to see if your alien identity is revealed!

Hostile Sun Combat - For those who want Humanoid Combat in Under a Hostile Sun

Grimm Arthur - 9 pages , uses the core ideas of "Under a Hostile Sun" to make a dungeon delving creature collector.  There is a combat system.  Some creatures are tamed by giving a gift and rolling compassion, others are tamed by reducing their HP by half and rolling Dominance 

Martian Muckraker: Fueled by Cogent Edition - The artist Jazza and giant sword making extraordinaire Shadiversity just released the Cogent System with their open game license.  This One Page RPG is an initial look at how the premise of Martian Muckraker would run in the Cogent System.  Cogent allows for custom Vocations and uses a streamlined d6 pool System.  It's Assist mechanics allow players to color skills with other parts of their training as appropriate.  

Blood in the Night:  Inspired by simplified OSR games. BiN uses a stealth-centric heist/combat system.  Movement is measured in rooms instead of spaces.  Each round the thieves roll to see if they are still "hidden."  Guards can be distracted with smokebombs in order to get the opportunity to get hidden again.  Done in 2-index cards.  - This has been expanded into a full system.
